Following completion of the local authority risk assessment I am getting in touch to give you as much notice as possible - learning will be disrupted this Tuesday. We will be forced to close Y4, Y5 and Y6 if the strike goes ahead. A letter will come home tomorrow with the affected classes confirming this. 

I am sorry about the disruption to you and to your child’s education. I understand that this situation is frustrating, and ask that all members of our school community continue to treat each other with respect. The strike is happening because of a national dispute between the union and the government over the government’s failure to provide a fully funded above-inflation pay rise for all teachers, and not because of any issues at our school. St.Patrick’s remains committed to providing a safe and secure environment for our pupils and delivering high-quality teaching.
