Physical Education - PE & DANCE
At St Patrick’s School, our vision for P.E and Sport is that every child should have the opportunity to take part in physical activity on a regular basis and become more physically confident and competent. We strive to equip the children with the skills and enthusiasm to continue to adopt this healthy lifestyle into a healthy adult life. St Patrick’s School continually uses sport and physical activity to raise attainment, engage with parents/carers and build self-awareness and emotional intelligence to improve the life chances of our children in a Christ centred environment.
Through physical activity, we aim to develop every child’s social, thinking and emotional skills and help each child learn how to apply them and transfer them to different life situations. We aim to provide high quality, inclusive learning opportunities through a PE curriculum for all pupils not only to enjoy but also allows them to experience a range of activities that help them to develop their health, fitness and wellbeing. We encourage and provide opportunities for them to compare and evaluate their own performances with previous ones and understand how to improve to achieve their personal best.
