New Year - New Term3 January 2022 (by Claire Grady (c.grady)) |
Good morning,
A very happy New Year to you all. I hope you have all had a lovely Christmas and have managed to stay well. Unfortunately, there are a number of staff and families who have tested positive for Covid over the holidays. We now need to work together to keep school operating effectively and to keep everyone well. Please test your child today using a rapid test/LFD, ready for our return tomorrow. I know they are in short supply but pharmacies are getting them delivered daily. If your child is unwell with symptoms and are testing negative - keep them at home and seek a PCR test. We also had a number of cases of sickness and diarrhoea at the end of last term. Children should not be in school until 48 hours after these symptoms subside. Poorly children should not be in school and will be sent home. We will be continuing to deploy our risk assessment when we return tomorrow. The children will remain in their classes with minimal mixing indoors. Staff will be ensuring good hygiene systems are in place, including frequent hand washing. Regular cleaning of classrooms and shared touchpoints will all resume. We will continue to ventilate classrooms, so please ensure your child has their jumper/cardigan in school each day along with their water bottle. We look forward to this new term with high hopes - we begin with a renewed energy and a determination to provide high quality learning experiences for your wonderful children.
Please make sure you contact school and let us know if your child has tested positive or is currently unwell. This can be done by leaving a message on the phoneline 0113 2480380 or by emailing us at office@stpatrickleeds.org.uk Mrs Grady
