It was lovely to see the children looking so smart and so eager to enter school this morning. The new drop off and pick up system will take a little time to get used to. On arrival please leave your child to line up by themselves and leave the site via the one way system. At home time please stand around the edge of the playground and allow staff to line the class up. We are trying to avoid staggering the start and end times as this causes disruption, both in school to learning and to you as a family. 

The new school planners have arrived and we are sure will be a valuable learning tool. They are priced at £3.50 (or £3 each if you have more than one child in school). You can pay for these on Parentpay or you can send in cash/cheque in a sealed envelope. I am aware that not all parents are up and running with Parentpay and we will therefore be sending logging on details out this week with your child. Please try to purchase your child's planner as soon as you can. 

Y1-Y6 Meet the Teacher Meeting - On Google Meet 5pm-5.45pm                                              The link for the meeting will be sent on the day of your meeting to the email address we hold on record for you. Your child's teacher will introduce themselves and give you an overview regarding the year ahead. You will also have the chance to ask questions at the end of the meeting. The meeting will be recorded and uploaded to your child's Google Classroom page for those who cannot join live. Please try to join - we ask that only parents/carers join the meeting and not children. The dtaes for these meetings are as follows - 

Tuesday 14th September - Year 5                  Wednesday 15th September - Year 4           Thursday 16th September - Year 3                 Monday 20th September - Year 2          Tuesday 21st September - Year 6                  Thursday 23rd September - Year 1 

We will be holding a meeting for our new Reception parents later on this half-term and the focus for this will be on reading. 

We are working on the school calendar currently; a paper copy will be sent home shortly. This will give dates for the remaining training days and much more.
