Children with symptoms15 September 2020 (by Claire Grady (c.grady)) |
We have no confirmed cases of Covid in school among our pupils or staff but we do have some pupils who are isolating. It is really important that if your child or anyone in your support bubble has any of the following symptoms that they do not attend school and should seek a test.
- A high temperature - this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back
- A new, continuous cough - this means coughing a lot in the space of an hour or
- A loss or change to your sense of smell or taste - this means you've noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or thing smell or taste different to normal
In accordance with government instructions and our risk assessment we have to send home anyone who displays the above symptoms during the school day. We have to remain vigilant - although the risk to children currently appears minimal the same is not true of adults. If staff catch the virus I will have to shut classes and possibly the school, if we do not have the correct ratios to stay open. We all need to work together to keep our families and the school community as safe as we possibly can. Please contact the school office if you are unsure. If in doubt....ask.
Thank you
